Varsha Joshi completed her medical education and Radiology Residency from Mumbai – India and then trained as a Fellow in Head and Neck Imaging and Neuroradiology under Dr Suresh Mukherji at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the year 2000.

Her academic positions include being a Consultant Radiologist with Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad, India and thereafter a Senior Consultant with Vijaya Diagnostic Centers at Hyderabad – one of the largest private diagnostic chain in India. She has been the President of the Indian Society of Head and Neck Radiology for the years 2023-2024. She is also one of the Founding Life Members of the ISHNR and has been the Vice President of the society for the years 2019-2022.

She is currently the International Liaisoning Officer for the ISHNR for a period of three years.

Dr. Joshi is a devoted and passionate educator and has been an invited speaker at various National and International forums on over 100 occasions. She has to her credit multiple publications in Head and Neck Radiology in reputed journals and has authored numerous chapters in Radiology Textbooks. She has also been the recipient of the Magna Cum Laude and Certificate of Merit at the ECR and RSNA meetings.

Dr Joshi has been the Editor for the 2015 edition on Paranasal Sinuses for the Neuroimaging Clinics of North America. Her most recent accolade has been to be the Associate Editor for the 8th edition of the internationally acclaimed David Sutton’s Textbook of Radiology and Imaging.

She is a fitness enthusiast and a regular runner and is also a proud recipient of medals at marathons.
