President's Message

Dr. Rajendra N. Solanki

A word from our President

Dr. Rajendra N. Solanki

President, ISHNR 2026-2028

“My vision is to make ISHNR a more active, academically strong, research-oriented and internationally connected society.”

Dear Friends & Colleagues,

First and foremost, I sincerely thank all the members of the Indian Society of Head & Neck Radiology (ISHNR) for placing their trust in me and giving me the opportunity to serve as the President of our Society.

ISHNR was established in 2019 by a small group of radiologists with a common interest in Head & Neck Radiology, under the guidance and mentorship of Prof. Dr. T. Anil Ahuja. I am also grateful to our past Presidents and senior members, whose vision and efforts have helped the Society grow.

We will expand ISHNR across India by welcoming eligible radiologists who are actively involved in Head & Neck Radiology. At the same time, we will encourage greater participation of our existing members.

We will build closer relationships with national and international Head & Neck Radiology, ENT, Head & Neck Surgery, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Dental societies. Joint academic programmes, webinars, MDTs and international faculty interactions will be encouraged.

I would also like to introduce some initiatives that can give ISHNR a distinct identity. The ISHNR Young Head & Neck Radiologist Forum will aim to identify, mentor and promote young talent. The ISHNR Research Collaborative will encourage multicentre research and create a platform for members to collaborate. The ISHNR International Exchange & Travel Fellowship will provide young radiologists opportunities to learn from leading international centres. The ISHNR Multidisciplinary Academic Forum will promote regular interaction with ENT, Head & Neck Surgeons, Oncologists, Neurosurgeons and Dental specialists.

My vision is to make ISHNR a more active, academically strong, research-oriented and internationally connected society.

I look forward to working together with all members to take ISHNR to the next level.

Together, let us learn, collaborate, innovate and grow.

Long live ISHNR

Dr. Rajendra N. Solanki
