Who We Are
Indian Society of Head & Neck Radiology
The ISHNR is a professional, non-political, non-profit, academic society dedicated to teaching and practice of Head and Neck Radiology. The society was founded by a small group of Radiologists interested in Head and Neck Radiology. It was incorporated under the laws and within the jurisdiction of the District Registrar of Societies, Chennai, Tamil Nadu in May 2019.
Our Journey
Conceptualised
Informal discussions at State IRIA Conferences sparked the idea for a dedicated Head & Neck Radiology society in India.
Founded
ISHNR was officially established and registered at Chennai, Tamil Nadu under the guidance of Prof. Dr. T. Anil Ahuja.
First Term
Dr. C. Amarnath served as the Founding President, laying the groundwork for academic activities.
Pandemic Pivot
Society pivoted to online webinars and virtual meetings, hosting the first two annual conferences online.
First Onsite Meet
Third Annual Meeting held onsite in Chennai alongside the TNPY State IRIA 75th Platinum Jubilee conference.
Growing Strong
ISHNR continues to grow with increasing membership, international collaborations, and case-based teaching initiatives.
