Dear Friends & colleagues,

First and foremost, to thank you for placing your trust on me, to serve as President of ISHNR for 2024- 26

Indian Society of Head and neck Radiology was started 2019 by small group of radiologists interested in this field and was guided by the head neck stalwart of Indian origin at Hong Kong, Prof Dr T. Anil Ahuja, who has mentored many of us in this field;

I would like to start by mentioning other Stalwarts, Dr C Amarnath, Dr A Anbarasu, and Dr Varsha Joshi are the Past presidents under whom I was privileged to serve during my five years in the executive committee of our society.

The vision of the society is to enhance knowledge and training among its members that will deliver accurate patient care and better health of the society.

The mission of the society is to play leading role in the advancement of the head and neck radiology in India through regular interaction between its members, other Radiology members, postgraduate students, institutions in in India and abroad.

My vision for the next two years of our ISHNR is

i) To increase our membership strength by inducting new eligible, academically active members who are Head &neck Radiologists from all the state of India into our society

ii) To promote young members by exploring their knowledge and skills to disseminate to all through webinar, Case discussion and MDT;

iii) To conduct Midterm CME in other cities & Outreach programme to remote areas

iv) To formulate and update the Guidelines and structured reporting.in head & neck imaging for the radiologists

v) To enhance our financial strength by getting more sponsored programme for online CME and webinars

vi) To Conduct online Symposium on –
“Symbiosis” – / MDT to involve ENT, Head &
neck surgeons, oncologists, neuro surgeon and dental surgeon etc..

vii) To Strengthen our relationship with other international Head & Neck societies.by participating international faculties in both online webinars and CME / Annual conference

viii) To have international Travel fellowship programme for young radiologists or exchange programme by putting MOU with other international partners

ix) To have Social responsibility schemes like cancer Awareness camp in association with another stakeholder society
